Can you believe this spring makeup style?! We want your opinion, is this a do or don't?

Spring is here and it's time to see what the fashion world has for us to try out this season! These women flaunt the bright blue, highlighting their eyes-- It's a springy color, right?

Now I've always been a fan of the neutral browns and greens for my blue eyes- you know, nothing too showy- but these pictures make me want to try something new! What do you guys think? Can it be pulled off or is it too much?

Think the rain is an excuse for a lazy day? Check out these pictures and think again!

When it comes to rainy dreary days, I can't seem to find any motivation. I don't know if it's just me, but when I wake up and see dark clouds out my window, I throw on my go-to rainy day clothes. Usually something like a big hooded sweatshirt that I'll throw on for  class, a cozy sweater, or a raincoat. But after seeing these pictures, I have just a little more motivation for fashion on those dreary days.

I mean, look at these outfits! I am obsessed with the brightly colored rain boots that jazz up any look. What better way to beat the weather than showing it up with fabulous fashion!? So what do you think? Is your rainy day outfit something like mine? Or something like these  glam women?

Show 'em Off!

How ready are you for a refreshed spring look? I know I am more than ready to kick off my boots and scarves and slip on shorts and a t-shirt. And now that I don't have to hide my hands behind layers of mittens and gloves, I've finally gotten around jazzing up my nails! I've seen so many adorable nail designs lately, and as much as I love to be pampered with a manicure, there are way too many cute DIY nail ideas that I cannot wait to try!

This one is my favorite spring nail I've found-- flip flops nail art.  It's simple, but a perfect spring look! I'm going to try this one out this weekend and I can't wait to see how it turns out! What are some of your favorite spring nail designs? What DIY nail art secrets do you have?

A Post All About Shoes?

Did someone say shoes? I will admit, I am 100%, totally, completely, without a doubt obsessed with shoes! After doing a bit of shopping, I think I've narrowed down to just a few of my obsessions for this spring.

But here's the deal--I have my cousin's wedding coming up this Spring and need a cute, unique, and neutral shoe to go with my black dress.  Which one do I choose? Help!

And Now You Can

Anyone up for a shopping date? I am SO excited to finally see these cute spring styles on the street instead of them hiding behind parkas and jackets. Now after seeing them I want them- all of them! I am absolutely obsessed with these. My favorite is the rose colored skinnys with the black striped top. What about you out there, which style do you love?

Say HELLO!

Finally! Spring is in sight! As much as I cannot believe it's actually March already, I can't say I'm complaining. I know my car and I aren't the only ones who think the whole snow and cold part of winter is getting pretty old. Although for those of us lucky enough to be living in the Midwest may not be done with the annoyances of winter quite yet, here is why March is still my favorite month:
  • I can start to see spring fashions on sale at the mall- I love going shopping and thinking "that would be perfect for a beach day!"
  • I can walk  to class without 5 layers on all parts of my body
  • It's my birthday month-So maybe I'm a little biased
  • My lotion/ moisturizer budget goes down
  • St. Patrick's day- For all you Irish out there!
  • Daylight savings- SO much easier to get out of bed when the sun's up with me!
Don't deny it, you're pretty excited about March too! Share with us, what you are excited about this month!

And the Winner goes to...

I was going through my usual Sunday night routine- vegging out on the couch with my roommates- when we clicked to the Oscars. While we were watching, we all picked out our favorite dresses (I still say, Amanda Seyfried's, no doubt), drooled over guys in suits (did you see Chad Michael Murray?!) and sat wishing we could afford just one of the diamonds on Anne Hathaway's stunning Tiffany& Co. necklace.

While they continued arguing over dresses and jewelry  I couldn't help but interrupt- OH my gosh, look at Jessica Chastain! I could not stop obsessing over her seemingly flawless look. Maybe it's just because my ultra-pale skin and dark hair would never allow me to pull off the red lips like hers but I was absolutely in love with her look. You guys, why can't I look like that?

Her look, was classic-  gorgeous skin, long lashes, thick eyeliner and red lips that really made a statement. I think it goes without saying- she was by far my favorite look of the night. How about all you out there? What was your favorite look of the night?

Prepare to Dazzle

Finding the perfect outfit to wear for a date is never easy, especially the first date. The stakes and the expectations are high, and often indecision gets the best of us. It can't be too tacky, but will it fit for the date? Will it look too casual? Too dressy? Too much? We all go through the stages of stress, hopelessly searching through racks of clothes and our friend's closets to find our one answer. This year, skip the stress with our tips on how to look your best without the stress!

  • Set aside time to shop- You'll never find your perfect outfit if you're feeling rushed, instead, give yourself a good time to browse different stores to weigh your options.
  • Know your look- Most of us already have our favorite brands or stores- the ones with the clothes that seem to fit us just right. Be sure you know what works for you, and more importantly, what doesn't work for you.
  • Prepare accordingly-When you're shopping, bring along shoes, undergarments and accessories you might like to wear out, to see if the end result matches what you had in mind.
  • Be confident- No matter what you decide to wear for your night out, be confident in your look and it will show!

Oh, and don't forget to enjoy your date. After all, that's what it's all about, right?

Make an Entrance

Here's the situation: You've been so busy at work, planning your party, finishing your Christmas shopping, and writing out your Christmas cards that you've left no time to find a dress, do your hair or makeup for the party you're invited to tonight. What do you do? Well you can cross panicking right off the list and begin your deciding after reading these few tips.
  • Choose a Dress for your shape: For a fuller figure, try emphasizing the details on the dress- pleats ruffles, or fringe (not all together) can show off your shape without adding volume. And for a more petite shape, try a fitted dress that will stand out and show off your frame.
  • Skip the Traditional: The easy out is always the little black dress. Or for holiday parties, a simple red dress to match the season. But drop the dress you've worn every other year- challenge fashion rules and try something new!
  • Don't forget Accessories: You can really add a splash of personality with the right jewelry  handbags, or shoes.
  • Makeup: Try a bright read lipstick, smokey eyes, fine eyeliner, shimmer, etc. Find what fits you and your outfit of choice!
  • Liquid Gold: For a bit of extra shimmer, try Enza's Liquid gold on your face, neck and any skin exposed on your chest. This silky smooth liquid will make your skin shine and your makeup really stand out!
Look your best this holiday season, and don't be afraid to make an entrance!

Nailing Down Holiday Trends

While you're looking to accessorize an outfit, don't forget about your nails! Pick a color that complements your outfit, a pattern that matches your mood, or a design that fits the season. Any of these can be a perfect way to complete an outfit. Here are some nail trends you might see this holiday season.

  • Bedazzled Nails- Look for some sparkle, glitter, or shine on top of your nail color of choice.
  • Reversed French Manicure- A darker color at the bottom with a lighter color on top.
  • Luxurious Colors- Gold and Silver are popping up on decorations, so why not our nails too?
  • Edgy Designs- Adding flare and a unique aspect to your nail art.
  • Metallic Finishes- Using certain shades to give a chic finish-- look for it in purples, charcoal gray, and gold.
