What comes to mind when you think of Bee venom? How about bird poop? Ceramic Crystal? Now think of each of these as part of your beauty routine. Not too appealing, right?
Believe it or not, each of these have been used by skin experts, estheticians, and others working in the skincare field as an alternative beauty routine.
Bird poop is used during facials as a way to help break down and remove out layers of skin cells (don't worry, the bird poop is sterilized first!)
And be sure to check out Kate Middleton's skin, as she attributes her fabulous skin to bee venom. This type of treatment is a way to plump up and tighten the skin quickly and effectively.
And ceramic crystal therapy is a procedure in which ceramic crystals are injected into your face to make you look younger giving you a 'porcelain complexion.' Actress Jerry Hall has been known to use this treatment to make her look younger.
So what do you all think about this? Is this going TOO far in the name of anti-aging? Or is this something you would try?

You don't need to be a bartender to mix up this incredible drink

Not long ago, I heard my friends talking about a cleanse, where they would drink nothing but lemon juice or lemon water for two to three days in order to flush away any impurities in their body. Now, I certainly am not ready to not eat for three days, but the idea that lemons can naturally 'detoxify' is enough for me to pick up a few lemons at the grocery store. It's just a lemon and water, after all. What could be easier?
And more than that, I like the taste of it! With the sweet taste of lemon added, I enjoy drinking water-- gaining the benefits of lemon and water in one simple, everyday drink.

Throwing out Winter's Leftovers
I know I can't be the only one who is tired of waiting for the snow to stop falling, the temperatures to raise and for my skin finally cheer up! It's March already! I've had just about enough of the freezing weather, the snow and the cold winds that make me and my skin quite irritated.
With Spring on its way (at least we hope so!) it's getting to be that time. Time to slough off the winter damage, time to start my spring skincare routine, and time to put an end to irritating, dry skin that not even my moisturizer can handle much more of. This can only mean one thing--it's time for a Microdermabrasion! The flaky skin I see after I get out of the shower is all the evidence I need to be sure. It is time I do my part in getting rid of the leftovers winter has left with me and prepare myself (and my skin) for springtime!

It's about that Time

My new personal favorite moisturizer for this "in between" time is the Vitamin C Serum! I don't quite need the full force of the Sustaining Glow Creme twice a day, so in the morning, I use the Vitamin C Serum and at night, the Glow Creme. Be sure to assess your Spring skin and you might realize that it's about time to get some new products!

Simplicity is Bliss
It's late on a Friday night. You've just gotten home after a long week and a night out with friends and all you want to do is crash in your bed. You skip the night routine and fall into bed and a deep sleep. But little do you know, while you're happily snoozing in your bed, your unwashed, makeup caked face will already begin retaliating. By leaving makeup on and your face unwashed before bed, you are putting yourself at risk for breakouts, blemishes, and clogged pores.

As you continue on your skin care resolutions, you may find its the little things, like not washing your face at night, that are keeping you from beautiful skin. Here are a few more small skin care changes that will make the biggest difference.

As you continue on your skin care resolutions, you may find its the little things, like not washing your face at night, that are keeping you from beautiful skin. Here are a few more small skin care changes that will make the biggest difference.
- Clean Your Brushes- Your brushes and makeup applicators can often become dirtied overtime by bacteria. Keep your brushes clean to ensure you are not applying bacteria-infested blush!
- Wash Your Pillowcases and Sheets- After sleeping for weeks on the same pillowcase, your face is bound to leave excess oils or bacteria that you will be exposed to every time you sleep on it.
- Cleanse After Working Out- Of course, you're tired after working out and washing your face might not be first on your priority list, but storing cleansing wipes in your purse makes doing this task easy, convenient and effortless.
- Stop Touching Your Face- Touching your face, and especially the new pimple you noticed this morning, introduces your face to more oils and bacteria which is sure make that new pimple much worse before it gets better.
- Drink Water- We all know the importance of water for our health, but water is important for keeping your skin hydrated and creating that youthful glow we're all aiming for!
So even as you walk like an overtired zombie through your front door, be sure to take care of your face before collapsing in your bed. Whether its taking a pit-stop in your bathroom to wash your face or using the cleansing wipes on your nightstand, be sure to have a routine and stick to it! Remember, you must start with the little things before you start to see the big differences.
