This New Look will do Wonders for Your Skin
Not to be cliche, but I can't help it with this one-- when it comes to Christina Aguilera's new look, less is so much more. With minimal makeup (left), she shows off her more refined and natural side of her. I don't know about you, but I think she looks fabulous!
And lets not forget, her skin must be letting out one big sigh of relief-- literally! Excess makeup often ends up suffocating the skin over time, which can lead to major breakouts, unwanted blemishes and early signs of aging. But luckily for Christina, her skin still looks as stunning and flawless as ever. What do you all think? How well does Christina pull off her new look?
Throwing out Winter's Leftovers
I know I can't be the only one who is tired of waiting for the snow to stop falling, the temperatures to raise and for my skin finally cheer up! It's March already! I've had just about enough of the freezing weather, the snow and the cold winds that make me and my skin quite irritated.
With Spring on its way (at least we hope so!) it's getting to be that time. Time to slough off the winter damage, time to start my spring skincare routine, and time to put an end to irritating, dry skin that not even my moisturizer can handle much more of. This can only mean one thing--it's time for a Microdermabrasion! The flaky skin I see after I get out of the shower is all the evidence I need to be sure. It is time I do my part in getting rid of the leftovers winter has left with me and prepare myself (and my skin) for springtime!

A Post All About Shoes?
Did someone say shoes? I will admit, I am 100%, totally, completely, without a doubt obsessed with shoes! After doing a bit of shopping, I think I've narrowed down to just a few of my obsessions for this spring.
Destination: ???
Now that we're in the heart of March (crazy, isn't it?) all I ever hear about is where everyone is going for their Spring Break trips-Orlando, California, Cayman Islands, Hawaii - well, you get the idea. Of course, I never have much to say on these topics. Instead of laying on the beaches, I'll be laying on my couch at home. Or instead of soaking up the sun, my feet will be soaking from the 14 inches of melting snow everywhere. Needless to say, my Spring break is hardly as exciting as those traveling. But with break on the way there's plenty to be excited for, even if your stuck at home (re-runs, anyone?). What are your Spring Break plans?

It's about that Time
You wouldn't wear the same huge puffy jacket that you wear in the winter during the spring, would you? So, why would you wear the same moisturizer? OR skincare products? As the seasons change, so must your skincare-- and the clothes in your closet. So even though this winter, I talked about how I fell in love with the Sustaining Glow Creme, I just might need to switch as we move into spring.
My new personal favorite moisturizer for this "in between" time is the Vitamin C Serum! I don't quite need the full force of the Sustaining Glow Creme twice a day, so in the morning, I use the Vitamin C Serum and at night, the Glow Creme. Be sure to assess your Spring skin and you might realize that it's about time to get some new products!

Satisfy that Sweet Tooth!
Maybe you feel like we're always telling you to be healthy, eat for your skin and avoid those empty calories. We consistently tell you to rid yourself of those bad habits. Seems like we're taking the fun out of everything, huh? Well, maybe not-- healthy recipes and recipes that promote good health don't have to be bland oatmeal or a plain salad. There is one of my favorite yummy recipes that is truly good for overall health (and that means skin, too!)
Dark Chocolate Dipped Trio
The recipe makes 12 strawberries- enjoy as a dessert, a snack, or as a healthy way to cure your sweet tooth! Remember: eat in moderation to be sure you get benefits before they backfire on you!
What you need--
- 12 Strawberries-A fruit jam-packed with antioxidants which help fight aging
- 1 bar of Dark chocolate- Is rich in flavanoids which improves the skin texture and can reduce reddened skin
- 12 Walnuts, chopped- This good-for-you fat help your skin look smoother, plumper, and more hydrated
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate completely, and stir. Holding the stem of the strawberry, dip each one onto the melted chocolate and place it on the baking sheet. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts onto the strawberries before the chocolate dries. Repeat for all 12 of the strawberries, evenly distributing the chopped walnuts on the strawberries. When completed, place the baking sheet with the strawberries in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.

The Best Sleep you Never Got
I've learned a lot in my college classes- about terms, theories, and practices- But more than any of these, college has taught me how to function with the least amount of sleep possible.
There are a few simple ways to do this. The first and most important of these is looking like you are perfectly well rested. Because if you look awake, you feel awake. First, I chug a glass of water which usually gets me going enough to start boiling water for my cup of (caffeinated) tea. Then I assess the damage in my bathroom mirror.
With my Enza products close by, I start with normal routine and finish with the Sustaining Glow Creme to brighten up my zombie-like complexion. And to get rid of those dark circles and puffy under-eyes, the Eyebright Eye Gelee usually does the trick. And while I'm not a makeup artist by any means, by using a light eye shimmer on my lower lash, brow bone and corners of my eyes, can truly work wonders on tired eyes.
Next thing I know, I'll be sitting through class, trying to pay attention to whatever new theory my professor is talking about, and I probably won't really be learning anything. But I sure look like I am. Oh the things you learn in college.

Say HELLO!
Finally! Spring is in sight! As much as I cannot believe it's actually March already, I can't say I'm complaining. I know my car and I aren't the only ones who think the whole snow and cold part of winter is getting pretty old. Although for those of us lucky enough to be living in the Midwest may not be done with the annoyances of winter quite yet, here is why March is still my favorite month:
- I can start to see spring fashions on sale at the mall- I love going shopping and thinking "that would be perfect for a beach day!"
- I can walk to class without 5 layers on all parts of my body
- It's my birthday month-So maybe I'm a little biased
- My lotion/ moisturizer budget goes down
- St. Patrick's day- For all you Irish out there!
- Daylight savings- SO much easier to get out of bed when the sun's up with me!
Don't deny it, you're pretty excited about March too! Share with us, what you are excited about this month!

Spoil Your Skin
Since this month is all about falling in love with your skin, you can't skip out on showing your skin a little love! Facials are one of the best ways to pamper your skin, improve your health, and give you an time for complete relaxation.
It's true, pampering your skin (and yourself) can have some valuable health benefits! Like lowering your blood pressure. The stresses we go through on a daily basis continually spike blood pressure levels. By giving yourself an hour to forget about emails, bosses, and work altogether, you can relax and let your blood pressure drop.
The facial massage that feels oh-so-relaxing will open your pores and your blood vessels to increase circulation throughout your body. An increase in circulation will stimulate nutrients and oxygen while regenerating new cell growth.
And in this cold season- and by cold I mean coughing, sore throat, runny nose and congestion- your facial just may help naturally ease your congestion. The combination of oils, massage, and steam will help reduce pressure associated with the congestion.
Who knew a little spoiling for your skin could go such a long way! Want more information on facials? Contact the Enza Medispa!
