You don't need to be a bartender to mix up this incredible drink

Next time you are out and order just a water from your server, be sure to ask them to add a little lemon. Some people like it for the taste or some like it because it simply looks better, but after learning a little more, I think I like it for the health benefits.

Not long ago, I heard my friends talking about a cleanse, where they would drink nothing but lemon juice or lemon water for two to three days in order to flush away any impurities in their body. Now, I certainly am not ready to not eat for three days, but the idea that lemons can naturally 'detoxify' is enough for me to pick up a few lemons at the grocery store. It's just a lemon and water, after all. What could be easier?

And more than that, I like the taste of it! With the sweet taste of lemon added, I enjoy drinking water-- gaining the benefits of lemon and water in one simple, everyday drink.

Get the legs you've always wanted, we'll tell you how!

You know it when you see them- those celebs with AMAZING legs that seem impossible for anyone else to even come close to having. Like how Carrie Underwood can flaunt them on stage during summer concerts or Beyonce who had everyone in awe of at this year's Superbowl.

So what's the secret? Besides their advantages of having fabulous personal trainers and time devoted to awesome workouts, there is a way you, too can make your legs look amazing with just one simple product,  Shea Body Butter

This intense hydration will leave every inch of your skin silky and smooth. Not only does this lotion moisturize and nourish, but also naturally protects the skin with its vitamins and antioxidants. Apply  directly after getting out of the shower, and while your legs may not have that instant muscular tone like Carrie or Beyonce, your legs will look radiant and feel celebrity-smooth.

So, you're stranded on a deserted island... (this is totally plausible, people!)

Have you looked outside lately? With snow melting and the rain that won't stop falling, I get the idea that being stranded, surrounded by water might not be completely unrealistic!

Okay, so maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but stick with me here. So, you're stranded on a deserted island, what is the ONE thing your skin (or lips) could not live without? Can you guess mine?!

I KNOW I'm not the only one who can't stand It...

For anyone who knows me, or has read my blog, they'll know my biggest skin complaint is my dry skin. For those of you out there who also suffer from it--truly, I feel your pain. The only way I have found to deal with this is just to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. This, however, became a bit of an annoyance after a while.

You know when you're putting on sunscreen at the beach and you don't have a mirror? You are always afraid of not rubbing it in all the way. Well, it's embarrassing enough pulling out your moisturizer in class, and even more so when you realize you haven't rubbed it all in!

So I figured. It's time to buy a moisturizer that will actually last me an entire day and the only one I have found that could do that was Enza Essential's moisturizers. It was so convenient and easy to apply just once in the morning and once at night, losing altogether the embarrassing in-class application and the half smeared look I was not too thrilled about.

For those of you with really dry skin, I recommend Saturation Herbal Creme- a moisturizer made just for you and that dry skin that won't quit.

Don't Believe in Multi-tasking Products? Think Again.

It's that time of year, when my skin just cracks. Whether it's my elbows, my hands, or my legs, no amount of lotion can keep up with how dry my skin is right now. In my desperation, I tried Enza's NutriGel. After getting out of the shower, I put it on the driest parts of my body- my hands and elbows and it has truly worked wonders!

My skin feels much more refreshed and much less irritated. And get this, the Nutri-Gel is packed with aloe vera. So about that sunburn prone skin (it's the Irish in me, ugh)... Sunburn and sun damage won't stand a chance come summertime!

Sounds like my skin's new best friend.

Your Foolproof Method to Staying Hydrated!

Drinking water is good for us, right? But let's be honest, not nearly as enjoyable as our morning latte, fizzy soda or a cocktail when we're out. I know it's good for me, but it's just a little, well, boring. So I did a little research and a little trial and error to see if there was a way make water a little more exciting without compromising all the benefits. Here were my favorite low or no calorie additions to water:
  • Squeeze a sliced orange into your water glass and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract-- almost the taste of an Orange Popsicle!
  • Herbal tea  is a great option, especially green or mint tea, you can try it hot or try it iced
  • Using an "infuser" try sliced strawberries with a dash of raw sugar in your water for a sweet, natural juice-like taste.
  • Now this one I haven't tried, but I've heard that using ginger in your drinking water not only is a nice refreshing addition, but also helps with nausea and headaches
These are just a few of my favorites that I have tried. What do you do to dress up your water?

Show 'em Off!

How ready are you for a refreshed spring look? I know I am more than ready to kick off my boots and scarves and slip on shorts and a t-shirt. And now that I don't have to hide my hands behind layers of mittens and gloves, I've finally gotten around jazzing up my nails! I've seen so many adorable nail designs lately, and as much as I love to be pampered with a manicure, there are way too many cute DIY nail ideas that I cannot wait to try!

This one is my favorite spring nail I've found-- flip flops nail art.  It's simple, but a perfect spring look! I'm going to try this one out this weekend and I can't wait to see how it turns out! What are some of your favorite spring nail designs? What DIY nail art secrets do you have?
